FAQ

Why did the website change?

Though much time was invested in developing our previous website, it was not always serving us or our community in the ways we had hoped. Our recent redesign addressed issues like:

  • Mobile-friendliness
  • ADA compliance (meaning users with vision or hearing disabilities are able to navigate the site easily).
  • Design consistency & visual appeal

Change is not easy! We hope that our new website meets your day-to-day needs and helps you do your important work with our schools. If not, please reach out and share your thoughts! The site is a work in progress and we are working to make it better and better everyday.

Why do we have to login in now?

The Faculty & Staff area you are in right now must be password protected because it houses teacher resources, like assessments. On our old website, these resources were password protected but because it was a Google Site, and we use Google to sign in to email and Google Drive, you were automatically authenticated as an employee.

Our new site is not a Google site, and therefore, an extra step is required to log in.

Where are my links?

All of the links that were previously listed under "Employees" on our old website are still here! Please see the graphic on this page for a visual guide to the icons you're seeing. These links are also available on our public site at www.clarkston.k12.mi.us/subs for substitute teachers.

Please note that your logins for Synergy, SchoolDude (work orders) and others have not changed. The only thing changing is the way you are now accessing them.

Has my Synergy, Alio or Work Order login changed?

No! Please note that your logins for Synergy, SchoolDude (work orders) and others have not changed. The only thing changing is the way you are now accessing them.

Can I login to email without going to this site?

Yes! Your district email and Google Drive files are always accessible from any device simply by going to Google.com and entering your district login information in the top right. There is no need to go through this website to get to your email (unless, of course, you want to!)

How do I link my teacher page?

Linking your teacher page takes just a few simple steps:

  • In the upper left corner of this screen, you should see your name. Click "Profile" in the dropdown menu.
  • In the Profile tab, scroll down to the "Teacher Site" field. Copy & paste the URL of your existing teacher homepage.
  • Review the rest of your profile information and ensure it is accurate.
  • Click the green button in the lower right that says "Update Profile" and you are done!

My directory listing is incorrect

Editing your profile is easy:

  • In the upper left corner of this screen, you should see your name. Click "Profile" in the dropdown menu.
  • Make any necessary changes (changes in location must be completed by your building administrator).
  • Click the green button in the lower right that says "Update Profile" and you are done!

How can I change my Finalsite password?

Follow these steps to change your password:

  • In the upper left corner of this screen, you should see your name. Click "Change Password" in the dropdown menu.
  • Enter your current password, then your new password (two times).
  • Click the green button in the lower right that says "Update" and you are done!
