On Monday, December 10, the Clarkston Community Schools Board of Education and administration recognized longtime trustee Sue Boatman upon her retirement. Mrs. Boatman has served on the Board for 10 years, and her current term ends on December 31, 2018.
Since 2008, Mrs. Boatman has served as trustee, secretary and vice president of the Board. She has chaired or been a member of multiple committees, including the Board Policy Committee, OCSBA Legislative Liaison, the Teaching & Learning Council, Student Reinstatement Committee and MASB Conference Delegate. She has participated in the search for and hiring of two CCS superintendents and was supportive in the ongoing implementation of a $76 million bond project.
The district is grateful for Mrs. Boatman's dedication to our students and schools!
