Dear SMS Families,
Welcome back to school! We hope your child experienced a wonderful first day at SMS.
I wanted to send a brief note to thank you for your patience this morning during drop off. As you may know, we recently underwent construction to create a new traffic flow pattern. It is extremely important to us that drop off is efficient and safe. However, we are aware that it wasn't so efficient this morning. We have plans in place for improvements we can implement immediately, and will continue to work tirelessly with our contractors, buildings and grounds department and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office to make further modifications and corrections to the traffic pattern as needed. Sashabaw Middle School is a very big building and traffic will continue to be much heavier than at the elementary buildings, but we believe that together with your help, we will work out the kinks. Thank you for understanding as this is all new to us too!
Thanks, also, for all the smiling faces and waves this morning! We appreciate your patience as we make it better each day.
Please review the traffic flow diagram below.
