It's a great time to work for Clarkston Community Schools! The district, which employs more than 1,000 faculty and staff on its 12 school campuses, is now hiring for several positions with newly increased pay scales to attract and retain top talent.

John Lucido, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, said, "As the largest employer in Clarkston, it's important to us to provide fair and competitive compensation for our staff. We have several part-time, entry-level openings across the district right now that stay-at-home parents, retirees, or others who prefer a flexible schedule may find attractive. You can work a few hours a week in the school your children attend!"

  • Food service department cafe helpers are now being hired at $11, an increase of more than 18% from 2017-2018. See job openings.
  • Paraprofessionals in Clarkston are now starting at $13 per hour (up from $11.68). See job openings.
  • Aides also received increases, with starting wages now between $10-12 per hour. See job openings.
  • Starting wages for bus drivers were increased to $16.50 from $13.50. While the district's Transportation Department is currently fully staffed, interested applicants are encouraged to reach out to the district's Human Resources Department at (248) 623-5400 for future consideration.

Maintenance, technology, custodial, secretarial and Early Childhood staff are also scheduled to receive increases for the coming school year.

Interested applicants should contact Lucido at jplucido@clarkston.k12.mi.us or on the web at https://www.clarkston.k12.mi.us/HR.
