Clarkston Community Schools welcomes members of the media into our schools and strives to provide the most accurate and timely information available.

Filming on Campus

Photographing Students and Staff

Some students choose not to be photographed. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) allows students and parents to opt out of the release of certain information about students, including photographs, and Clarkston Community Schools operates in compliance with this law. Before we can allow anyone to take photos, video and/or quotes from our students, a school administrator or the Marketing Director must confirm.

Clarkston Community Schools is a highly regarded school district in Oakland County, Michigan. Our campuses cover a combined 418 acres and 63 square miles. We serve 7,300 students in seven elementary schools (K-5), one middle school serving grades 6-7, one junior high school for grades 8-9, and Clarkston High School, which serves students in grades 10-12. We also have an alternative high school, Renaissance High School, and an Early Childhood Center for children ages 3-5.
