What is Strategic Planning?

Clarkston Community Schools has begun the process of developing a new district strategic plan. Continuing throughout the 2024-2025 school year, CCS will develop new mission and vision statements, set goals, decide on the actions necessary to achieve the goals and mobilize the resources needed to take action over the next five years. This process will ultimately produce a roadmap of strategies that the district will use as a foundation for decision-making across our school system through 2030.

Our Process

Planning Timeline

The strategic planning process will crystallize our district goals and objectives into a five-year plan that can be implemented and evaluated. There are several steps to this process including the review of our current strategic plan, evaluating academic data, gathering community feedback, and developing a new strategic plan with a team of approximately 50 members including CCS staff, administration, parents, and community members. Below is a preliminary timeline.
