From the Superintendent: Thank You, CCS Staff!

Dear Clarkston Community Schools Families,

It’s hard to believe that it is already May, but we are here, and there is no stopping the momentum. These next several weeks are equal parts fun and exhausting, and I challenge you to buckle up and enjoy the ride. But before you do, I want to make sure we take a moment to acknowledge the individuals that make this all possible.

Throughout the year, our staff members have positively impacted our students. Time and time again, they go the extra mile, and their efforts are personified in our students’ success. As we celebrate our students’ achievements, we are also celebrating our staff.

“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”  - Aristotle

Our staff members' collective dedication, expertise, and resilience have made Clarkston Community Schools a place where all students learn and grow. In the same way that a machine needs all its parts to function, every position in our district plays a vital role in educating our kids. Our staff are feeding our kids, getting them to and from school, ensuring their buildings are safe and clean, providing them the technology and tools needed to learn, making connections, organizing the day-to-day, providing extra time and care, teaching them, and loving them. I am honored to be the leader of such an extraordinary team! If you connect with one of our staff members in the coming weeks, please be sure to thank them for their efforts.

Also, I’d like to wish all of the moms in our district a very happy Mother’s Day. Thank you for your trust in us and your partnership in helping your children grow. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Dr. Shawn Ryan
