From the Superintendent: We're Back!
Dear CCS Families,
Welcome back! Our first week of school was one for the books! Before the power outages, visiting our buildings and seeing all the smiles, energy, and excitement as we kick off another fantastic year was an absolute joy. The positive energy from everyone—staff, students, and families alike—has been uplifting.
I want to extend my thanks to everyone for your understanding and flexibility following Tuesday night's storm. As you know, the storm knocked out power to most of our buildings, making it challenging to predict whether schools would be in session. I will always do my best to make informed decisions as quickly as possible, but this week, we were at the mercy of such a supportive and adaptable community.
I’m happy that many of our students were able to return to school today, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday. Your patience and resilience during this time have been incredible, and we are grateful to be part of such a supportive and adaptable community.
Thank you again for your cooperation and positive spirit as we navigate these unexpected challenges together. Here’s to a great school year ahead!
Enjoy the holiday weekend!
Dr. Ryan
