Clarkston Community Schools is a highly-regarded school district in North Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing a challenging, healthy, engaging, safe, and supportive educational experience. Our mission is carried out in partnership with families and the community, ensuring that our vision of preparing students for successful, fulfilling lives, ready to embrace their future with confidence, is met.

Serving nearly 6,500 bright and diverse students, our commitment to excellence is demonstrated by our well-established reputation, including three National Blue Ribbon schools, six Michigan Exemplary Blue Ribbon schools, and M-STEP scores ranking among the best in Oakland County. We offer rigorous, comprehensive curricular offerings across our system of seven elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (grades 6-7), one junior high (grades 8-9), and Clarkston High School (grades 10-12). In addition to our traditional campuses, we serve our community with an Early Childhood Center (ages 3-5), a virtual academy, and an alternative high school/community education facility.

Our campuses span 418 acres and 63 square miles, serving Independence Township, Springfield Township, and the City of the Village of Clarkston. The Clarkston area blends suburban and rural living, offering a large community with a distinctive small-town feel. Residents enjoy a rich history, beautiful parks and lakes, robust downtown events, and premier schools, making it an outstanding place to live and learn.
