Child Development I

Child Development - Learn and understand the various stages of development from conception to age three. Know what things we can do to help a child grow to his potential in physical, social, emotional and intellectual areas.

Parenting: A realistic look at the joys and challenges faced by today's parents. It explores the many decisions related to parenthood and the roles of parents in various family structures.

Chapters 1-13-including Pregnancy, Infants, Toddlers and Parenting Skills.

One (1) college credit possible upon completion.

Child Development II

Child Development - Learn and understand the various stages of development from preschool to adolesence. Know what things we can do to help a child grow to his potential in physical, social, emotional and intellectual areas.

Parenting: A realistic look at the joys and challenges faced by today's parents. It explores the many decisions related to parenthood and the roles of parents in various family structures.

Chapters 14-21-including Preschoolers, Elementary, Adolesence, Health, Special Needs.

Careers: Exploration in various fields requiring child development, knowledge and experience.

One (1) college credit possible upon completion.

III

The purpose of this course is to develop entry level skills necessary for the crowing child care industry and prepare interns for pre teaching experiences.

The course work will include environmental health and safety, licensing, lesson planning and CPR training.

Volunteering with children 4 or more hours per week requires  a TB test and physical.

Two (2) college credits are possible.

Child Development IV

The purpose of this course is to develop entry level skills necessary for the crowing child care industry and prepare interns for pre teaching experiences.

The course work will include environmental health and safety, healthy snacks, lesson planning and record keeping.

Volunteering with children 4 or more hours per week requires  a TB test and physical.

Two (2) college credits are possible.
