Welcome to Mrs. Trzasko's webpage! I graduated from Oakland University in the spring of 2002 with a bachelors degree in biology and chemistry and a teaching certificate. In the fall of 2002 I began teaching here in Clarkston at the high school. When we began teaching 9th grade at the junior high I transferred to the junior high and have been here since.
Here you will find useful links, important dates, contact information, and a brief introduction into the course that I teach.
This is a required two trimester course that covers the foundational concepts of biological science. Topics of study will include biochemistry, cells-structure and function, cell energetics, comparative structure and functions of living things, human systems, homeostasis, ecosystems, population ecology, cell division, protein synthesis, genetics, and evolution. Inquiry skills, organization, and interpretation of data in the laboratory and classroom are an integral part of the course.
