Teaching experience: In a nutshell, I have been teaching for the past 20+ years. The first 2.5 years were with Detroit Public Schools, then I was lucky enough to be a founder of CSMTech 19 years ago! I have been very blessed with many honors and awards - nominated by my students, their parents and administration.
School activities: If you have ever heard of Team RUSH, it was started 17 years ago - as an "outcome" of an engineering class I was teaching. RUSH is well known world-wide and brings me great pride that I can continue to lead it and share the successes with Clarkston Schools.
Family: I have 3 wonderful children who I do not stop talking about in class (ask your son/daughter). They help me learn and grow as a teacher/mom everyday. My oldest son, Troy, is a freshman at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), in Worcester, Massachusetts, studying robotics engineering! My husband, Dennis, is the lead engineer on RUSH. This means our family is TOTALLY tied up in robotics!
Goals: I hope that I am able to continue to impact our world by sending out "prepared" students academically and socially to make a difference in this world. It is also my goal that someday, Team RUSH puts Clarkston on the map as a "Robotics World Champion".
