Welcome to the Clarkston Community Schools Facilities Management web site. Our department oversees custodial, maintenance, grounds, energy conservation, environmental compliance, and security operations. The department also manages the bond construction programs and all other internal capital projects. The Facilities Department and its staff are committed to providing a safe, healthy and functional learning environment for all users. The district encompasses 60 square miles with 418 acres of school property. It consists of seven Elementary Schools, one Middle School, one Junior High School, and two High Schools. We have a Community Educational Building, an Administration Building, Early Childhood Center, and a Transportation Building. Together there is approximately 1,550,000 square feet of building space which is used to house over 8,200 students. Facilities are in use from 6:00 a.m. until 11 p.m. for the K-12 Students, Community Education, Parks and Recreation programs, the community at large and other associated groups. Successful bond issues in the 1990's and most recently in 2003 have provided the District the ability to upgrade systems where they utilize the most recent instructional designs and the latest energy efficient products. |
