YOUR PTA  DOLLARS AT WORK

Ask your CJHS students how these mini-grants have or will enhance their learning experience.

  • The MEMORIAL GARDEN at the CJHS court yard will receive $350 for its upcoming dedication ceremony. The court yard is being dedicated to former CJSH student Jenna Beno, who recently died from injuries she received serving our country in the Iraq War. Jenna's family will attend a ceremony in May where she will be honored with the dedication, plus a framed photo and an outdoor plaque. The CJHS PTA is pleased to share the costs for this event with the Clarkston Foundation.
  • Two power, monitored speakers and two audio through-ports will be purchased for the CHOIR/PIANO department. These items will be used for assessments and projects in choir, ultimedia, piano and by the composer club. They may also be used for CJHS plays. The cost will not exceed $600.
  • More than 100 LRC students will benefit this year from $190 worth of headsets with attached microphones. The headsets will be used to help students for years to come with speech-to-text technologies and other needed life-long skills.
