I started my career at Clarkston Elementaryin 1995 after graduating from Eastern Michigan University. I have since completed my Master's degree in Teaching of Reading and Language Arts from Oakland University. I have taught a year of second grade and the subsequent years I have taught third grade. This is my fourth year teaching 4th grade and I'm excited to watch the continued growth of the children.

My husband, Mike Walters and I have been married since 2002. We are the proud parents of two precious daughters, Paige and Emily. Paige came to us by miracle of adoption in August 2003 and her "little" sister Emily was born to us in December 2003. My husband also has an 21 year old son, Michael. A college student, two early elementary girls, as well as our pets, Brady, a Golden Retriever puppy and black cat Buddy (our dogs Kelsey & Murphy remain in our hearts after their journey to the Rainbow Bridge), make ours a busy household. We love it and wouldn't have it any other way!
