  • Goal setting and intervention for at-risk students
  • Student recognition and awards
  • Educational development including: study and learning skills, planning for high school and beyond, and applying learning to daily living.
  • Placement of new students

  • Service over 1300 students at CJHS
  • Process all schedule changes
  • Regularly review students' academic progress and files
  • Coordinate the MEAP testing program
  • Administer MEAP make-up tests
  • Serve as support staff to teachers for specific problems
  • Maintain relationships with local referral agencies
  • Assist with daily attendance issues and health plans
  • Maintain professional growth by attending conferences
  • Makes presentations: staff meetings, classrooms, parent groups
  • Maintain a list of private professional tutors, high school tutors, and outside counselors
  • Facilitate conflict resolutions with over 150 students each year
