SOCIAL STUDIES

Students have taken a virtual boat and bus tour of the southeast and have completed work for chapter 6 in their workbooks. This week we will explore a traditional art form in Alabama when we create a Gee's Bend Quilt to display in the hall. Students have also created posters protesting the discrimination that took place in this region in the 1950's. 

We have started alternating science and social studies every other week so the two fourth grade classes are not on the same schedule. The next test for Mrs. Bills' class only will be Friday, February 22nd. Students received study guides before the mid-winter break. Workbooks need to be completed for chapter six the day of the test. Mrs. Lockwood's class will meet next week and follow a similar sequence.
