Welcome to my webpage! My name is Barb Gramann. I am a second grade teacher in Clarkston, Michigan. Bailey Lake Elementary is a great place to teach. We have a dedicated staff, wonderful families, and most importantly, enthusiastic and respectful students!
I've been married to Rick, my husband, for 33 years. We live in White Lake, Michigan. I love to spend time with my family, play golf with the girls, and take vacations. Our trips to Alaska and Hawaii are some of my favorites! These travel experiences provide me with stories to model for the children during Writer's Workshop. Many of my stories include Dakota (Kelly and Jay's dog) and Frisco, Sadie, and Callie (Greg & Helenea's cats).
Family is very important to me! I spend many weekends up north at our family cottage. We have two married children, Greg and Kelly who often join us. Kelly and her husband, Jay, live in Paw Paw, Michigan. Greg and his wife, Helenea live in Northville, Michigan. We also have a beautiful grandson, Will. He is turning one in October! I've had a passion for teaching all of my life. I originally earned my B.S. in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University. However, my lifelong goal of becoming a teacher drew me back to school. I earned my teaching certificate in 1999 and my Masters in Early Childhood Education in 2003 from Eastern Michigan University. My student teaching experience was at Andersonville Elementary in Clarkston. During my teaching career, I've taught grades 1, 2, and 3. I look forward to getting to know your family this school year!
