Answers
1)  Q What is causing Space Junk?
A

Some  satellites are crashing into each other and they are getting smashed into little pieces or some are staying kind of big which is making space junk  o r also called space debris . After the crash that satellite's pieces go spinning off in space.

2)  Q What are the effects of Space Junk?
A
Even one little screw can reck a working satellite . This can cause a lot more space junk and polute more of the space that is still clean.
3)  Q How has Space Junk changed?
A

Until 1957, the only thing orbiting Earth was the Moon. But on October 4 of that year, the Soviet Union launched a rocket that placed a satellite named Sputnik in orbit. That launch started a space race between the Soviet Union and the United States. Over the years, those two nations put more than 4,000 satellites into orbit. Today, many nations and private companies put satellites in space.

4)  Q How does NASA feel about Space Junk?
A

Scientists are warning that there's so much space junk in space that it's poising a risk to astronauts.

5)  Q How does Space Junk hold threat against Earth?
A

We may not be able to have near earth shuttle flights because they may be too dangerous. Much of the Space Junk is falling through the atmosphere to Earth's surface.

6)  Q How might space junk change in the future?
A
Space junk  might cause collisions so that space travel will become hazardous in the future. The amount of energy in a small screw traveling at 7 miles per second would cause a massive amount of damage when it collides, an example is when a retired satellite , collided with an active satellite, resulting in the destruction of both spacecrafts. NASA reported that a large amount of space junk was produced by the collision. If this continues many more satellites may be destroyed in a cascade effect resulting in a disruption in communications in low earth orbit also bits of satellite may land.
