A
The 2008-2009 CJHS PTA was awarded a Membership Achievement Award by the state of Michigan for having so many parents and staff join our PTA. This award is usually won at the elementary level. Thank you to all who joined the PTA. We must all agree that being connected to our students' educational process is vital.
3)  Q How do I keep up with the progress of my CJHS student(s)?
A
CJHS offers a variety of ways to stay connected to your student(s)educational journey while attending CJHS. The Parent Gateway is a great online system, designed to keep up-to-date on current assignments and grades concerning your student(s). Parent Curriculum Nights as well as Parent Teacher Conferences are offered at various times throughout the year and will be announced via our website and newsletter. CJHS teachers encourage and welcome communication regarding your student (s) through email at anytime throughout the school year. Lastly, we encourage you to take advantage of our calendar and building updates via the www.clarkstoncalendar.org eblasts. To sign up, visit www.clarkstoncalendar.org.
4)  Q Do you need additional information from a core subject department, have a trimester concern, a transportation issue or High School question?
A
Mr. Kern has offered to coordinate specialists to answer questions and/or address specific issues at our PTA meetings, when needed. CJHS parents & guardians will have the opportunity to ask questions and gather further information from specialists and department representatives themselves. Simply Email Mr. Kern at afkern@clarkston.k12.mi.us with your request or concern. If he is unable to answer your question personally, he will find someone who can and invite them to attend our next PTA meeting.
